The unique advantages of Optima foliar nutrition
What makes Optima unique?
Optima Leaf products distinguish themselves because the nutrient elements are complexed with a biodegradable organic complexing agent. As a result, the leaves absorb the nutrients far more efficiently and without damage. This is in contrast to traditional products, which often contain harmful salts or excessively high concentrations of nutrients.
The formulation technology behind the Optima Leaf products ensures that the optimal nutritional effect is achieved with smaller quantities of nutrients and in plant-friendly dosages. Thanks to the complexation, Optima products are also highly compatible in tank mixes with most other products.
Ease of use is another important focus point. All Optima products are easy to dose and pour, and they dissolve quickly and completely in the spray tank.
Most Optima Leaf products offer an additional unique advantage: they are enriched with trace elements. This addition prevents one-sided fertilization and improves effectiveness. Trials repeatedly demonstrate that this “plus” contributes to better results.
Optima products are environmentally friendly and biodegradable, giving them strong sustainability credentials. Their added value has been proven in practice, contributing to improved quality and higher yields.

How does organic complexation work?
Most metal ions in liquid foliar nutrition products, such as copper, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and manganese, carry a strong positive charge. As a result, they can bind to negatively charged particles like a magnet. Because the surface of the leaf consists of a negatively charged wax layer and negatively charged cell walls, these ions encounter significant resistance before they can be absorbed.
In addition, the tank mix itself often contains negatively charged molecules. The metal ions can react with these molecules, potentially affecting their performance.
When the metal ions are organically complexed according to the Soiltech method, they carry a neutral charge. As a result, they do not react with other molecules in the tank mix and can therefore be safely combined. They also encounter minimal resistance during nutrient uptake through the leaf. This allows the foliar nutrients to be utilized far more efficiently.
